KBS launches first putter shaft

9.44am 12th February 2019 - New Products

Shaft company KBS is increasing its selection of premium shaft options by introducing its first-ever putter shaft.

The KBS CT Tour Putter shaft has been designed with the help of direct feedback from Tour professionals, including current world No.1 Justin Rose, who chooses to play KBS iron and wedge shafts.

Featuring Tour precision bend angles – with single and double bend offerings – the CT Tour Putter shaft is stepless with a parallel tip. It’s available in both steel and matt black finish in a 120g Tour option and has already been selected by some of the major putter manufacturers as their stock putter shaft for the 2019 season.

“We’re delighted to introduce a Tour calibre putter shaft that has been designed directly with input from the world’s best players,” said Kim Braly, R&D and Tour Operations Director. “We’re now well on our way to be able to fit an entire bag full of KBS shafts, which is hugely exciting for myself and everyone connected with the brand. As all golfers know, the putter is the most important club in the bag and having the correct shaft is a vital component to making those important putts.”

KBS has a history of breaking new ground in shaft design, having ventured into the wedge market in 2015, before launching its Tour Graphite Hybrid shaft last year.

“Every year we make significant investment into our R&D department, and I work closely with my team to make sure every shaft we produce – whether it be irons, wedges and now putters – goes through stringent tests before we start to seed out onto the professional Tours,” said
Braly.

Custom fitting of the KBS CT Tour Putter shaft is available at selected dealers from March. More details about all KBS products can be found at www.kbsgolfshafts.com
