Magenta is a key colour in Glenmuir’s apparel range for men and women in SS20

Glenmuir’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection features a range fresh colours, such as Magenta, Spring Green and Ascot Blue, and focuses on sustainable performance fabrics being told through its #GlenmuirCare campaign.

The Scottish golf clothing brand is a pioneer in golf clothing in natural fibres which are renewable and environmentally friendly. The new double-mercerised cotton polos use a technical process which removes stray fibres from the cotton yarn and fabric resulting in lustrous silk like handle, luxurious drape and outstanding colour retention. The men’s seasonal Crieff and Oban (RRP £60) and classics Tarth, Larkin and Hamish are all available in the new SS20 colours.

Seasonal knitwear looks strong, made from 100% pure combed premium cotton from renewable resources, with the men’s Fergus, Eliot, Roxburgh and ladies’ Uma, Bella, Kady and Milly (all RRP £70). Glenmuir’s signature 100% extra-fine Italian merino wool, Touch of Cashmere, and 100% british lambswool which are all natural, renewable and biodegradable sees new SS20 colours added.

When making performance products, Glenmuir’s factories ensure all chemical discharge from dyeing and manufacturing processes go through a waste water treatment management system, which returns the discharge to its original water state before discharging back into the sea or river. This warrants Glenmuir performance polo shirts as Superior Performance made from active fabric, which is highly functional with moisture wicking technology delivering breathability, UV protection, thermoregulation and enhanced freedom of movement.

The men’s Torrance, Campbell, Murray and Clyde are matched for the female in the Azalea, Irina, Gina and Harlow (all RRP £50).

For the first time in the brand’s 130- year history a golf dress has been introduced, with the Steffi featuring excellent performance properties and flattering side slimming panels (RRP £70).

Glenmuir’s popular performance midlayer collection sees the addition of a sleeveless Charles midlayer (RRP £65) with the ladies’ Sabine (RRP £80) and Madison (RRP £85) seeing a burst of energy in the new SS20 Magenta shade.

An elegant Rose print in Magenta and Navy has been introduced to the comprehensive Glenmuir ladies’ trouser collection which includes Kendra plain capris, Matilda printed capris, Alma skort (all RRP £70) and Aubrey visor (RRP £20) to merchandise with performance polo shirts to create contemporary refined golfing outfits.

Michel Ruia, Glenmuir’s Managing Director, said: “As a 130-year-old family business, Glenmuir has always, and will always, remain committed to respecting all of our stakeholders, whether that be customers, suppliers, partners and colleagues, and the same goes for the environment. This ethos is at the heart of the Spring/Summer 2020 collection, producing high quality, functional and elegant products which are made using sustainable and renewable methods and craftsmanship. This ongoing commitment to the environment will be the focus of our #GlenmuirCare campaign.”
