Glenmuir Autumn Winter 2015 collection

Glenmuir, the renowned Scottish golf clothing brand and supplier of shirts and knitwear to the European Ryder Cup Team, has unveiled its new Autumn Winter 2015 collection which continues the brand’s enviable 124 year heritage for creating beautifully crafted products in gorgeous colours.

The collection features Scottish lambswool knitwear, luxurious extra-fine merino sweaters and lustrous double mercerised shirts. All pieces are manufactured with precision using age old skills and are available in an array of colours. To complete your outfit, Glenmuir also offers a comprehensive range of outerwear to offer protection from the elements. Glenmuir’s new seasonal colour stories will brighten up your wardrobe with a zingy Lime as featured in the Tropical Sorbet colour story, the coral tones of Pure Shores are guaranteed to brighten a dull autumnal day and Spearmint from Ocean Drive is a sophisticated choice.

Glenmuir has introduced key performance shirts to meet the demands of the modern game whilst maintaining classic and elegant design elements remaining true to the brand’s heritage. A selection of performance shirts are available which include a new performance moisture wicking pique shirt, g.DEACON, which will ensure you remain cool and comfortable throughout your golf round. “Sartorial style is never compromised and multi stripes, colour blocking and elegant contrasts are all to be seen in the technical collection,” commented Ann Miller, Glenmuir’s Design and Buying Director.

“The sharp, strong styling of our knitwear makes a statement and complements our shirt range. Bold stripes (g.ISAAC), colour blocking (g.AIDEN) and contemporary intarsias (g.HUNTINGTON) are all featured and are perfect for cooler days on the course.”

Superior performance continues in the collection with technical products engineered to protect the wearer from wind and showers whilst maintaining subtle and sophisticated design elements. Glenmuir’s 3-layer windshirts provide exceptional protection from wind and showers, whilst the stretch fabric is lightweight and quiet (g.GILSTON, g.TORRIDON). Glenmuir’s ever popular lined sweaters are also featured in the AW15 collection and include a full zip front sweater with a stretch jersey lining which is a perfect layering piece keeping you warm without being too bulky or heavy (g.NOAH).

On the ladies’ AW15 collection, Ann explains “Our ladies’ AW15 collection is all about the combination of performance, contemporary style and expert tailoring. We’ve introduced a lightweight stretch performance pique to our shirt range, which has a gorgeous handle and drape, while also keeping the wearer dry and comfortable (g.PALOMA). Statement shirts with modern styling are enhanced with signature finishing touches including diamante studs, sequin trims and print details.”

2015 sees the introduction of a new ladies’ trouser range all in a superb lightweight 4-way stretch fabric, which offers complete freedom of movement. Diamante stud trims and buttons complete the look (g.CELESTINE, g.KENDRA and g.LANA).

When the temperature drops you can remain stylish, warm and dry on course with Glenmuir’s selection of mid layer fleeces (g.ADDISON), lined sweaters (g.SAVANNAH), performance windshirts (g.CORNELIA) and waterproofs. Lurex trims and Glenmuir’s signature golf club zip puller feature throughout the collection, while the fleece lined stretch trousers ensure you’re kept warm and dry from head to toe (g.VIVIEN).

Ann concluded, “Since Glenmuir’s beginnings in 1891 we have been committed to creating golfwear with impeccable care, passion, skill and dedication to the craft. We are proud and excited to unveil our Autumn Winter 2015 collection which we believe offers retailers an outstanding opportunity to make robust margins on our beautifully crafted golf clothing, available in a broad range of fabrics and colours”.
