Galvin Green’s Interface-1 range of jackets and body warmers has proved to be a major hit with club members and visitors to Royal Portrush, venue of the 148th Open Championship next month.
The versatile hybrid layer range led by the new Lincoln jacket has captured the imagination of golfers taking on the windchill factor encountered on the famous coastal links, according to assistant PGA professional Tom Minshull.
“The Interface range has been a huge hit with both members and guests since it was introduced and the Lincoln jacket in particular has been in high demand from the Pro Shop,” said Tom, who has personal experience of playing in the garment in challenging weather conditions on the Northern Ireland coast. “The tagline that the Lincoln is suitable for 95 out of 100 rounds is spot on. The garment provides a great fit, while not being restrictive on any part of the body. The effectiveness of the water repellent and wind protection features makes it one of the best products available to golfers, as it bridges the gap between being comfortable and protected from all weathers perfectly.”
Tom added: “Galvin Green is proving an extremely popular outwear brand within the shop at Royal Portrush Golf Club, offering golfers simple designs while protecting them from the elements. I think that having the subtle colours and design is very important to provide a smart look both on and off the course – and clearly our members think so too, as they love the product.”
Greg Pearse, Galvin Green‘s UK&I managing director, said: “Golfers across the UK and Ireland have received the new Interface range with great enthusiasm and the success of the Lincoln jacket has helped us achieve record forward orders from our retail partners. It bodes well for the period leading up to and including Open week.”
The Interface-1 range contains eight different styles of lightweight, breathable jackets or body warmers, as well as trousers. The Lincoln jacket is soft and stretchy for maximum comfort and available in Navy, Gold/Navy, Lagoon blue/Black, Black/Red and Black in sizes S-3XL and RRP’s from £189.95 to £319.95 (€260 to €500).
