Leading high-performance golf apparel brand Galvin Green has been credited with multiple awards by two of Europe’s biggest golf media titles for its 2021 ‘GameDay’ Part One collection that went on sale in February.
Today’s Golfer broke tradition to award the entire collection with an Editor’s Choice Apparel Award. “We usually just pick one garment for a TG Apparel Award, but Galvin’s ‘GameDay’ collection is so good, we felt the whole range deserved recognition,” said editor Chris Jones.
The ‘GameDay’ collection contains a host of sustainable products made to last and perform in all weather conditions. They include GORE-TEX waterproof jackets, together with waterproof GORE-TEX trouser options; versatile INTERFACE-1 jackets; INSULA sweaters, including several styles made from recycled plastic bottles; VENTIL8 PLUS shirts with exceptional breathability and 20+ UV protection; SKINTIGHT thermal tops and leggings; as well as comprehensive women’s and junior ranges, plus matching accessories.
In keeping with the brand’s sustainability drive, around 70% of garments in the collection are made using Bluesign and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified fabrics, threads and buttons – conforming to the highest global environmental standards applied to textiles.

For the fourth year running, Galvin Green also received a similar Editor’s Choice award from Golf Monthly. The fully waterproof ACTION jacket was selected for the 2021 award. Constructed with GORE-TEX ‘slide & glide’ C-KNIT fabric and a partial TECHSTEEL fabric for greater durability, it offers increased comfort thanks to GORE-TEX Superstretch inserts across the back and elbows.
Impressed by the levels of stretch, Technical Editor Joel Tadman gave it a 5-Star rating and said: “Clearly no stone has been left unturned in creating the ACTION Jacket. The features included will genuinely make a difference to a golfer’s mindset when playing in the rain, embracing the challenge rather than dreading it, because they will be properly equipped to take it on.”
