Foresight Sports is adding four of the most popular St Andrews Links courses to its line-up of global ‘bucket list’ golf courses available to play from any indoor facility on its ultra-high definition FSX 2018 simulation software.
From the end of next month, The Old, Castle, New and Jubilee courses will be accessible in the FSX 2018 portfolio and described as the ‘St Andrews Links Collection’.
The courses at ‘The Home of Golf’ will join other star attractions such as Pebble Beach, Pinehurst, Quail Hollow and Wentworth, plus Open Championship venues including Carnoustie, Royal Troon and Royal Birkdale. Ahead of this year’s Open, Carnoustie Links installed seven Foresight Sports’ simulators in its new clubhouse, each equipped with a true-to-life representation of the Championship course.
Foresight Sports’ simulators enable players to take on many of the world’s best and most exclusive courses, even in prevailing weather conditions, using the world’s most realistic and intuitive virtual golf software. Players are able to play the course, work on their game year-round, or compete in skill-building competitions. Every shot can also be automatically uploaded and stored in a free online cloud account.
Ahead of the launch, customers are being offered a special pre-order package of the St Andrews Links Collection at £1,250 – a discount of almost 40% – if the purchase takes place before December 24, 2018.
“We’re extremely proud to be able to add the St Andrews Links Collection to the FSX 2018 portfolio and give our growing number of customers the opportunity to play the most iconic golf courses in the world,” said Edward Doling, Director of Foresight Sports Europe. “Many golfers can only dream of playing venues such as The Old Course and the chance to do so at their local Foresight venue will make it one of the most popular social play choices, helping to drive revenue during the winter months where outdoor golf is limited” he added.
