FootJoy is launching its 2015 Autumn/Winter Performance Apparel Collection, featuring the addition of exciting new categories and highly functional fabrics that once again elevate the Mark of a Player brand’s offering across Outer, Mid and Base Layers.

OUTER LAYER

FJ ranked as the #1 shirt brand on-course in terms of value share for 2014, and its stake in the outerwear market is also expected to experience significant growth following the introduction of this year’s range, which includes DryJoys Select® (£295 rain jacket; £200 rain trousers), the most technologically-advanced waterproof category the brand has ever created.

Constructed from Japanese fabrics, it offers 25,000mm waterproof protection (WP) but remains incredibly lightweight, making it the ultimate Outer Layer piece. A moisture permeability (MP) rating of 25,000g/sqm highlights the fabric’s breathability, whilst features including Bonded Seams, Laser Cut Pockets, FJ’s Xtreme DWR finish and YKK Aquaguard® Vision® Waterproof zippers further enhance the performance of DryJoys Select.

A key feature of both DryJoys Select and the updated design of FJ’s DryJoys Tour XP™ (£200 rain jacket; £185 rain shirt; £165 rain trousers) is the addition of a patent-pending StaDry Collar, which FJ designers have created after seeking feedback at all levels of the game. The collar has been shaped and heightened to ensure it does not interfere with the golfer’s swing, whilst also preventing the rain from entering the garment.

FJ’s tour-proven DryJoys Tour XP and HydroLite™ suits (£140 rain jacket; £135 rain shirt; £120 rain shirt S/S; £95 rain trousers) complement DryJoys Select in FJ’s fully-waterproof outerwear offering for 2015, each featuring fresh patterns and all-new colourways. DryJoys Tour XP’s 3-layer bonded construction and the HydroLite 2.5 layer fabric each provide 20,000mm WP and allow the golfer a full range of motion. The water-resistant FJ Hybrid Jacket and Vest are also carried into the 2015 line with a highly-distinctive, warmth-promoting quilted design for on and off-course wear.

The FJ Thermal Fleece Jacket (£120) is another exciting introduction to FJ Outer Layers for 2015 and features fleece-insulated panels which have been placed in strategic areas of the upper body. A durable woven shell and DWR Finish allow it to shed light rain while Stretch Shoulder inserts allow complete freedom of movement.

MID LAYER

Brand new for 2015 is the FJ Performance Wind Shell Mid-Layer (£90), offering the functionality of a wind-resistant, woven garment with the feel of a knit. With its DWR finish and athletic half-zip construction, it is a highly versatile solution for changeable weather conditions.

Further additions to the mid-layer category are the Berkeley and Jupiter Collection Performance Shirts (£45-£55), which are available from mid-summer, and allow the golfer to freshen up his wardrobe for the second half of the season. The Berkeley Collection boasts five styles in Violet, White, Bright Lime and Grey, while the Jupiter range features Navy, White, Poppy Red and Cadet Blue.

BASE LAYERS

Performing a crucial role in maintaining body temperature once again is FJ’s ProDry Performance Thermal Base Layer Mock (£40), which is offered in Black, White, Red, Cobalt and Light Grey. Autumn/Winter 2015 will also see the introduction of FJ’s ProDry Performance Seamless Base Layer (£55) in Black, White and Grey. Its seamless construction provides superb comfort and mobility, whilst the body-mapping technology guarantees breathability.

ESSENTIALS

FJ’s Essential Collection is stronger than ever, with an extended selection of Performance Shirts in Stretch Pique and Stretch Lisle, Merino and Lambswool Mid-Layers, as well as a greater choice of options in the ever-popular FJ Chill-Out pullover. A wide choice of Essential Trousers in Performance, FJ Athletic, Slim Fit and new WRT Xtreme® styles ensure a more than ample choice from the Mark of a Player brand when it comes to completing your look.

WOMEN’S

The FJ Women’s Essentials range once again sees the FJ HydroLite Suit (rain jacket £140; rain trousers £90) as the headline waterproof garment, while the insulated FJ Quilted Jacket (£90) is the ideal selection when the cold conditions start to bite.

Four new mock neck Base Layers (£40), vibrant sleeved and sleeveless shirts, as well as new options in the Full-Zip Knit Sweaters (£55-80), ensure that the 2015 range provides a wide variety of options for off-season play.

“We pride ourselves on the performance benefits offered by our apparel and outerwear, and I’m thrilled to introduce our 2015 Autumn/Winter Performance Apparel Collection, which promises to appeal to golfers of all ages and style preferences,” said Paul O’Hagan, FJ Marketing Executive.

“With several innovative technologies and highly fashionable designs, we think this is going to be our best performing and most visually pleasing Autumn/Winter collection to date and will undoubtedly enhance the standing of FJ as a leading apparel brand.”

Whether it is the contemporary styling of FootJoy’s Performance Apparel Collection, the superior comfort and performance of its advanced footwear family or the superior feel and fit of its market-leading golf gloves, FootJoy remains the overwhelming favourite among golfers of all abilities around the world.

The 2015 Autumn/Winter Performance Apparel Collection from FootJoy will be available from 1 September.
