Danish brand ECCO – maker of the world’s most comfortable, technically-advanced footwear – announces the expansion of its remarkably successful Golf Street collection with the introduction of new colours and styles for men.

Designed to be worn both on and off the course, Golf Street’s unique versatility is based on an ingeniously engineered outsole that has approximately 100 molded traction bars with more than 800 tractions angles for excellent grip in all conditions. Wear-resistant and highly durable, the outsole is constructed from a TPU material that has been shown to last five times longer than rubber.

“Golf Street has been tested and performed at the highest levels of professional golf, including wet conditions during Fred Couples’ run at 2010’s first Major Championship,” says Michael Waack, Head of Global Golf at ECCO. “Those results, the great styling and the tremendous convenience of being able to wear one shoe throughout the entire day, has made it the most sought after product in all of golf.”

Geared toward fashion-conscious men seeking a shoe that can carry them from home to the fairway to the city and beyond, Golf Street’s broad range of performance characteristics include:

Golf Street is available in the following colour options for the 2011 golfing season; Licorice/Coffee/Fanta, Concrete/White/Royal and Sephia/Bison/Honey with a suggested retail price of £100.

In addition to Couples, ECCO men’s golf shoes are worn in competition by scores of international Tour stars, including Graeme McDowell, Stuart Appleby, Aaron Baddeley, Thomas Bjorn, Thongchai Jaidee, Bradley Dredge and many others.
