adidas has launched a new outerwear collection designed to keep golfers comfortable and warm on those chilly winter rounds without adding weight or restricting the swing.
The new COLD.DRY range comprises a collection of highly technical layering pieces that retain warmth, but are fully breathable. They also wick away sweat to keep the wearer feeling comfortable and a boast water-repellent finish to help keep players dry in light rain.
The range includes jackets (£64.95) and vests (£54.95) for both men and women, as well as a hoodie (£54.95) – as worn by Tyrrell Hatton during his recent BMW PGA Championship victory at Wentworth. The COLD.RDY Hoodie features a jersey-lined hood with a drawcord along with a slight droptail hem.
For women, the range also includes a long-sleeve crewneck (£44.95) that offers her a sleek and athletic silhouette, along with leggings (£49.95) made with body-contoured seams and a bonded waist. All COLD.RDY products come with UV 50+ sun protection.
“How a player feels over a shot – that confidence and focus – shouldn’t change if it’s a hot summer day or there’s a sudden wind chill,” said Shaun Madigan, global director of apparel, adidas Golf. “Knowing golfers rely on layers this time of year to keep their seasons going, we wanted to give them the maximum amount of warmth possible without adding weight so that they could get the most out of every swing. COLD.RDY is our best technology and material innovation that accomplishes this to date.”
COLD.RDY apparel is available on adidas.com, the adidas app, and at select retailers worldwide.
