Yahoo & PGA Partner to Bring Live Coverage & VOD to Fans Globally

ATT Leaderboard yahooYahoo has announced a global, strategic partnership with the PGA TOUR to deliver free, live and on-demand video content to fans around the world, no cable subscription or authentication required.

Details include:

“We’re bringing you free live golf coverage globally with the PGA TOUR,” says Phil Lynch, VP, Media Partnerships at Yahoo.

“We’re thrilled to announce a strategic relationship with the PGA TOUR that brings you free, live and on-demand video golf content, no cable subscription or authentication required. Teeing off with the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, you can now stream Featured Holes coverage from PGA TOUR LIVE during the early rounds of tournaments, such as THE PLAYERS Championship and the FedExCup Playoffs, around the world, for free on Yahoo. PGA TOUR LIVE is the PGA TOUR’s new streaming video service which offers premium and free live video from 30+ events each year, of which, Yahoo will be streaming Featured Holes coverage.

“We will also offer global access to video on demand (VOD) PGA TOUR content, including access to highlights and original content from tournaments, such as the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions, Web.com Tour, PGA TOUR Latinoamérica, and Mackenzie Tour-PGA TOUR Canada. Additionally, in partnership with the PGA TOUR, we have launched a live, co-branded PGA TOUR leaderboard, which includes live play-by-play, shot-by-shot graphics, live audio, and VOD.
