Since 2002 Golfresan have been servicing the Swedish golf market with the Golfresan Magazine, the website www.golfresan.se and Scandinavia’s largest amateur tournament ‘Golfresan On Tour’.
The Swedish website has become the marketplace for golf travellers who are served with hotels promoting golf packages, regional guides, editorials and Web TV.
Now it is time for the international launch through the international domain name www.travelcaddie.com. The site is being launched with a brand new technical platform and state-of-the-art technical solutions.
Mats Elsnitz, CEO of Golfresan Media, says: “We are very happy to launch our website in multiple languages. This way we can help more of Europe’s golf travellers to find their golf packages directly or with a tour operator. Initially we will launch travelcaddie.com in German and English with other languages to follow.
“The Swedish site will keep the name Golfresan.se, however it will take on the new corporate identity. The sites have a large amount of new useful functionality and content, which we hope all golfers in Europe will appreciate.”
Mikael Andersson, Editor in Chief at Golfresan Media, says: “www.travelcaddie.com adds a new dimension to golf tourism in Europe. The travel patterns show a steady growth of FIT´s, free independent golf travellers travelling on their own. They want to find a good solution for hotel and golf. Transportation can be a cheap flight, train or by car.
“We want, and will answer the question where to stay and where to play, in an inspirational way, covering both hotels with golf packages and tour operators. This wemwill do in combination with guides, editorials, Web TV – all gathered in one place”.
Lee Derrick, Country Sales U.K, says: “It’s great to be a part of Travelcaddie.com, as I can see the huge potential for resorts, hotels and golf courses, being able to have a multi-lingual connection with consumers all over Europe.”
