‘The Back 9 Show‘ goes biweekly

GolfBug.tv’s weekly magazine programme, “The Back 9 Show”, has met with such success online that it will now be aired twice a week to keep its burgeoning audience up to date with all things golf 24/7.

The creation of two shows per week is in direct response to the broad reach “The Back 9 Show” now covers and its viewers who demand regular, up-to-date information more often.

From now on, “The Back 9 Show” will be broadcast on every Monday and Thursday, packaged as “Review” and “Preview” Shows respectively, and will boast a revamped, new-look logo, a brand new studio set, a host of new reporters as well as more testing teams for golf equipment and gadgets.

Golf fans can now view the Show using numerous internet options including leading sports website, Eurosport Yahoo, and on the online versions of The Independent, The Belfast Telegraph, The Scotsman and Sport Magazine.

“The demand for “The Back 9 Show” has exceeded all expectations from a variety of internet sites and their need for ongoing, new content has demanded that the Show progress from a weekly show into a biweekly one,” explains Andrew Cooke, managing director of GolfBug, which is owned by SimplyMedia TV.

“For SimplyMedia TV, this development also signifies the progression of the Show into a more of a production and distribution offering which supplies regular, interesting and newsworthy material to websites on a regular basis.”

Already this year, “The Back 9 Show” has attracted interest from top brands Callaway, Mizuno, and Cleveland, and Tourist Boards such as The Algarve, Visit Scotland and Argentina, all keen to take advantage of the high-quality, targeted audience that the Show exposes them to.

“The Back 9 Review Show” distributed on Mondays will review the golfing weekend with all the latest news and results from all the professional tours around the world whilst later in the week on Thursdays, “The Back 9 Preview Show” will be dedicated to taking a look at the forthcoming weekend tournaments.

Both Shows will continue to include top-class tuition from some of the game’s top coaches, showcase some of the world’s top golfing destinations in ‘Hole Wide World’, highlight the latest and greatest in golf equipment and gadgets in ‘Caddy Shack’ and feature ‘Pin High’, a fly-on-the-wall look at the world of golf.

SimplySports, a division of SimplyMedia, also produces the online television channels, Snowzone, which focuses on skiing, and EHTV, for England Hockey.
