Boom Media, publishers of ‘Going for Golf’, the UK’s only golf magazine dedicated to golf travel is following the successful re-launch of the print magazine with the launch of an interactive magazine.
‘Going for Golf Interactive’ is the result of a collaboration with Your Golf Travel and Direct Golf UK. The new interactive magazine will be published monthly from June and distributed to a huge database of 650,000 golfers.
The interactive magazine is being developed by Ceros Media who have developed dozens of interactive magazines for companies like the BBC, Thomas Cook, M&S, Ford and many publishers including Haymarket, Dennis and Centaur.
The interactive magazine will enable golfers to look at image galleries and videos of golf courses, location maps, score cards and golf offers and uses flash technology to provide a multimedia presentation of golf resorts and golf equipment.

Sean Grant, Managing Director of Boom Media is very excited: ‘We are so excited about the launch of the interactive magazine. Working with Your Golf Travel and Direct Golf UK we are now offering access to the largest database of golfers in the UK. And the technology provided by Ceros is so good – golf resorts and equipment manufacturers can now present their products using very rich media.’
Your Golf Travel.com’s Managing Director, Andrew Harding, is equally upbeat: ‘We have been very impressed with the way that Boom Media has turned Going for Golf into an excellent magazine and we liked their idea to publish an interactive magazine. We think our customers will read it and respond to it and are confident that it will generate bookings for our suppliers.’
Neil Bell, Managing Director of Direct Golf UK, commented: “We are always looking for new and innovative ways to improve our online offering and we are delighted to be working with Your Golf Travel and Going for Golf on this new venture. One that I am sure will provide our customers with a much better facility for booking their golfing holidays, whilst keeping them informed of the latest products and latest offers on golf equipment at the same time.”
