‘Golf News’, the UK’s leading free monthly golfing newspaper, will break through the 200,000 readership barrier later this month after combined figures for its print run and digital database will top 200,000 for the first time in its 22-year history.
The popular full-colour, A3-sized title currently distributes over 47,000 copies to golf clubs in the UK and following a number of joint media initiatives, now boasts a database of over 160,000 golfers who receive the digital edition direct to their desktop computers, tablets and mobile phones each month. With the magazine available to read online at golfnews.co.uk and a Twitter feed – @golfnewsmag – followed by over 33,000, Golf News is certainly reaching a wider audience than ever before, and is providing a user-friendly multimedia platform for golfers – and the wider golf industry – to keep in touch with news and views from the region.
Golf News’s Associate Publisher Richard Maunder said: “While we pride ourselves on producing a magazine that gets into the hands of serious golfers at golf clubs, we also recognise that there are golfers who don’t always manage to get hold of a copy, or live outside of our distribution network. Significantly expanding our digital database to over 160,000 will ensure that more golfers receive a copy of Golf News, as well as allowing our loyal advertisers to reach a wider audience than ever before.”
Published by Matt Nicholson and edited by experienced golf journalist Nick Bayly, Golf News is published 10 times a year.
