Golf Monthly – the UK’s largest multimedia golf brand – has strengthened its advertising sales department with the appointment of Chris O’Hagan as an Account Manager. Chris will be working with core golf manufacturers, courses, resorts and their agencies offering a full range of multi-platform commercial solutions.

Chris joins Golf Monthly from Teeofftimes (a division of Golf Breaks) where he was an account manager. Prior to this he worked in a sales role at golf software company, Jonas ClubView.

A former Gloucestershire county golfer, Chris studied Golf Management at Bournemouth University and started his career in the golf industry as a club-fitter for Srixon Cleveland Golf. He is a member of Coombe Wood Golf Club, where he plays to a handicap of 3.

Chris says: “The chance to work with one of the best brands in publishing, and more specifically golf, was simply too good an opportunity to miss. Being the oldest golf title still in production brings a depth of heritage, but more impressive is the way Golf Monthly has embraced technology across different digital platforms. This is why I believe the brand can offer something to all potential advertisers. I can’t wait to get started in this role.”

Time Inc (UK) Head of Sport, Matt Johnston, says of the appointment: “Given the range of our commercial offerings now in print, digital, content and the forthcoming launch of our ‘What’s in the Bag’ and ‘Video +’ franchise, it is crucial we have an appropriate sales resource to ensure we continue to deliver for our partners. Chris is digitally savvy and having worked in the golf industry for the past five years in sales, marketing and manufacturing roles, he is the ideal choice and we’re delighted he has joined our team.”
