GC Media are pleased to share the roll-out of their Autumn / Winter 2022 partnership with Galvin Green, helping to showcase the brand’s industry-leading range of products. With 30 GC Media Golf Clubs across the UK, creative has been made for all weather conditions, with the relevant advertisement promoted to golfers within their clubhouse, reflecting the day’s conditions.
The technology ensures that a club in the North of England, such as Rockliffe Hall would be displaying information about Galvin Green’s mid-layers in cool, but dry conditions; whilst at the same time, if it was raining in the South, a club such as Royal Ascot, would showcase creative pertinent to these conditions – notably Galvin Green’s Gore-TEX range of waterproof outerwear.
Impressively, conditions are monitored at sites across the UK every 15-minutes, meaning that one site may see several different advertisements throughout the day as conditions change. This reactive technology, allows for minimal wastage, and maximum impact – putting the relevant product lines in front of golfers within their own club environments, both before and after their rounds.
This is the second campaign to utilise reactive technology across GC Media’s estate of Phillips 55” screens, with Tour Operator Your Golf Travel, using a variation on the weather technology to promote holidays to The Algarve, where conditions are likely to be both warmer and drier than in the UK!
Initially launching in mid-2022, the GC Media product allows for state-of-the-art advertising in the heart of golf clubs, with an estate primarily made up of prestigious clubs across London and the South East. In return for allowing one of the digital screens to be placed within their venue, Golf Clubs are given a fully digital touchscreen noticeboard free of charge, replacing tired-looking and outdated cork boards, and helping to modernise the overall feel of the clubhouse. The digital noticeboard has been a huge hit, with Golf Club Managers choosing to add everything from AGM minutes, to food menus, to competition results, and even sign up facilities for upcoming events to their own screens.
Of the Galvin Green Campaign, GC Media Director Ben Phillips said: “It is fantastic to partner with Galvin Green who really are the perfect brand to work with whilst showcasing this technology. Their wide range of products mean that there’s always something relevant that we can be sharing with golfers, whilst also saving Galvin Green from the wastage which could come from advertising their rainwear on the occasional drier days throughout the winter!”.
Conor Petters, Marketing Manager UK & Ireland, Galvin Green added: “The GC Media technology prevents us from being wasteful with our advertising, whilst at the same time positions the brand at the heart of golf clubs. The quality of their screens does real justice to the campaigns, and we’re delighted to be working with them throughout a traditionally busy period for the brand”.
Galvin Green join the likes of Genesis Cars, TaylorMade Golf, DP World Tour, Stewart Golf, Mizuno Golf Pairs Tour, Cernago, GD Scoring, The Tumeric Co., the aforementioned Your Golf Travel, as well as DP World Tour Q-School Final’s host, Infinitum, in advertising across GC Media’s growing estate.
