Golf industry veteran Niall Flanagan has launched an all-new golf blog to document his ‘behind the scenes’ journey in his role as a panellist for National Club Golfer’s Top 100. In the blog, Niall will chronicle his visits to many candidate courses but with a twist- he’ll be doing so alongside a very exclusive selection of opponents, so readers will gain an insight into the ‘life and times’ of some iconic individuals within the golf, sporting and celebrity world.
Niall first began writing a blog when he was running Club Inc., and given its roaring success back then, he decided to resurrect the concept with an all-new feel- sharing his thoughts and views on a wide range of topics, while picking the brains of some really interesting playing partners in the process!
Within the first few editions of the all-new blog, expect to see lefty Niall take on Strictly star Anton du Beke, former Spurs player David Howells and GM of The Berkeley Hotel, Knut Wylde. You’ll also be able to keep track of how everyone performs in their matches with an on-going leaderboard, for what is set to create some (light-hearted) banter!
Niall has extensive experience within the golf industry, having been CEO at Loch Lomond and has also held senior positions at St Andrews Links Trust, Dubai Golf & Country Club, Celtic Manor and Wentworth Club. These experiences have left him perfectly placed to document course reviews in a previously undiscovered way, touching on his awareness of the lifestyle interests those members of such prestigious clubs enjoy (think cars, watches, wine, real estate and travel) and how they are incorporated into his reviews. This blog isn’t just about the prestige of the golf course, it’s about the all-encompassing experience you can expect from each and every club Niall visits.
