The European Tour and deltatre, a recognised leader within the sports media technology industry, have announced a three year partnership to manage and develop the Tour’s official website www.europeantour.com

deltatre provide a wide range of media services to a number of leading sports federations and europeantour.com will benefit from deltatre’s web technologies which drive some of the most prominent, high profile websites in the sports world, including UEFA.com, FIFA.com and IRB.com.

Mark Lichtenhein, The European Tour’s Director of Broadcasting and New Media, said: “We are very excited to be working with deltatre on the new generation europeantour.com. deltatre’s experience and innovative expertise will enable europeantour.com to take full advantage of the latest technological advances as we bring new interactive and customisable features to the Tour’s site to deepen fan engagement and enhance the viewer experience.”

Paul Bristow, Managing Director of deltatre Media, said: “We are delighted to be partnering The European Tour on the build and management of their prestigious website.  The European Tour site produces a huge amount of rich live content almost every day of the year from the three different tours. It is an incredibly exciting project for us to manage and present this dynamic mix of news, results, photos, videos and other content in a way that is intuitive, engaging and immersive for the golf fans around the world.”

www.europeantour.comwas recently relaunched to coincide with the Tour’s return to mainland Europe.

Integral to the new website will be enhanced video and audio content, with more highlights and behind the scenes coverage from across all three Tours.

The European Tour, Senior Tour, Challenge Tour and Ryder Cup will have their own dedicated sections, providing clear and concise coverage of the different components of the Tour. Each will have its own homepages, news, stats, video and audio content.

During the course of the season The European Tour will visit 27 destinations, and the rich diversity of these varying cultures and landscapes are featured in the new dedicated Travel section while the Equipment section showcases the leading golf manufacturers and their latest products.

And over the coming weeks many more new features will be added to make europeantour.com a better experience for everyone.
