GolfMonthly_Jun14Golf Monthly announces that IPC Inspire Head of Sport, Andrew Boxer, is leaving the company effective May 2014 to assume a new role as Sales Director at action sports publisher, Factory Media.

Andrew joined IPC Media in 2001 as a Sales Executive on Rugby World working his way up to Business Development Manger on the sport titles. In 2005 he moved with the IPC Inspire portfolio to become Advertising Manager on the shooting titles before returning to the sports group in 2007 as Group Advertising Manager.

“Andy and I have worked very closely over the years and the synergy between the editorial and commercial teams is a core strength of the Golf Monthly brand,” says Golf Monthly Editor Mike Harris. “He leaves IPC Sport in a very strong commercial position and we wish him every success for the next chapter of his career.”

Andrew Boxer says. “It has been a genuine privilege to have been part of Golf Monthly’s evolution from a print magazine into a true multi platform brand. Key to the success has been the joined up way the commercial and editorial teams have worked together and I’m pleased to be leaving the Golf Monthly business in a strong position.”

The recruitment process for Andrew’s successor is already under way and an announcement will be made to the golf industry in due course.
