Siam Country Club Group in Thailand has selected Golf Marketing Services to fulfil an international PR and marketing brief, highlighting the strong heritage and world-class golf offering the destination proudly exhibits.
The brief centres on re-establishing Siam Country Club, home venue of the LPGA of Thailand, alongside the four additional properties comprising ‘The Group’, as a must-visit golf destination.
“The excitement and opportunity surrounding Siam Country Club, as well as the additional properties, really epitomises what exceptional modern golf is all about,” commented Phil Craghill, Director at GMS. “The end of coronavirus travel restrictions has seen the appetite for golf tourism significantly pick up, with golfers now far more ambitious with where they go – Siam Country Club should definitely be on their bucket list.”
He continued: “The destination has hosted some of the finest professional golfers at the highest level of women’s championship golf and, with an impressive golfing heritage crafted in just a short period of time, we’re eager to begin garnering this top-class venue the international recognition it deserves.”
Siam Country Club Group is a multi-course operator in Chonburi and Bangkok, Thailand, with the flagship Old Course joined by Plantation, Waterside, Rolling Hills, and the latest golf course in Bangkok to complete the impressive collection of courses.
“Over the last 55 years, we have developed five premier golf courses for members and visitors – with the Old Course opening in 1968. In 1968, ‘Siam Country Club’ golf course was established, which is recognised as the pioneer privately-owned golf course,” comments Thanakorn Sawasdee, Director of Sales and Marketing at Siam Country Club Group.
Across our five courses, we have an exciting opportunity for every golfer across the globe – with a cultural experience we’re proud to share. Enjoy the iconic home of the LPGA of Thailand at the Old Course, the panoramic views of Plantation, the aesthetic beauty of the Waterside landscape, the risk reward challenge of the Rolling Hills or the unique Toby Cobb design masterpiece that is Siam Country Club Bangkok.”
The Siam Country Club Group has long been a leading supporter of golf in Thailand and the Asian region; supporting the LPGA, Asian Tour, the All Thailand Tour and various amateur tours. The R&A has also recently announced the return of the Women’s Amateur Asia Pacific Championship in 2024, at Waterside.
