Global golf marketing agency GMS has announced the hiring of Leonardo Izzi to the newly created position of Head of Communications.
Izzi joins having been Global Marketing Director for IMG’s Golf Course Services division since 2018, following a six-year tenure at London Golf Club in Kent where he was Head of Marketing.
“We have known Leo for over a decade and have always felt he’d be good fit both culturally and from a skills perspective at GMS,” said Sam Elder, Director at GMS. “It’s been brilliant to see his career grow and reputationally he is one of the best marketeers in golf, so we’re absolutely delighted to have him on board as our business continues to evolve.”
He will work from an office in Cascais close to Lisbon and is the agency’s 17th member of staff. This marks the business’s third location globally following the opening of the Asia-Pacific office in Singapore in 2021.
