Azalea partners with Seed Golf for PR and marketing brief

9.10am 3rd April 2024 - Marketing & PR

Ireland-based golf equipment manufacturer Seed Golf has partnered with leading public relations and marketing specialists Azalea to bolster its global expansion plans, starting with today’s launch of the new OrangeAF balls.

The colourful balls – which boast performance that matches anything else on the market, but with a significantly lower price tag than other premium options – are a variation of Seed’s top-selling product, ‘The Pro One’.

Despite this week’s April Fools’ joke and its claim that the new OrangeAF ball will improve a golfer’s average score and distance, Seed’s industry-defying approach is to avoid making outlandish claims on new products and, instead, to focus on providing consumers with two consistent guarantees – performance that can match any golf ball on the market, but for better value.

Founded in 2017, Seed aims to make high-performing golf balls more affordable for the everyday golfer and has experienced huge success in its native Ireland – where it receives more online orders than any other ball brand – before branching into the UK, Europe, the United States and around the globe.

The brand has earned international recognition for golf balls that offer tour-grade performance for a fraction of the price of competitors, and now delivers to more than 45 countries. With five distinct models, Seed’s range has the right ball for every golfer.

Customers can also opt for an easily customised subscription-based service, ensuring they never need to stock up last-minute at the pro shop.

Other products in Seed’s portfolio include ‘Eco Golf Bags’, tees, umbrellas, putting mats and training aids. Meanwhile, apparel including gloves and headwear is available via the brand’s online shop.

Dean Klatt, CEO and founder of Seed Golf, said: “Azalea was already an established name in the golf industry when I first came to Europe over 15 years ago, so I have no doubt they are the right people to help bring Seed to a much wider consumer base internationally. Our goal has always been to produce high-quality golf balls at a significantly lower price point, and that’s certainly not about to change as we expand our focus on the UK.”

Andy Barwell, director of Azalea, said: “We have been fortunate to work with some of the biggest names in golf over the years, and we have no doubt that Seed is on course to become a huge player in the industry globally in the years to come. Working with a golf ball manufacturer is a first for Azalea, and Seed’s ambition, innovation and customer service make them an excellent fit for us.”
