The UK Golf Federation kicked off its 2025 GolfBIC members event series in style with a successful evening held at The Royal Automobile Club, Pall Mall, London, on Wednesday, April 30.
Sponsored by range technology partner inrange, the exclusive Members Dinner brought together golf industry professionals for a memorable night of networking and insights.
With a backdrop of warm spring evening sunshine and views of Buckingham Palace, the event’s setting offered the perfect ambiance for informal networking on the RAC’s terrace.
The highlight of the evening was a Q&A session with guest speaker Guy Kinnings, CEO of the DP World Tour. Renowned for his extensive knowledge of the global golf landscape, Kinnings offered attendees valuable perspectives on both the historical and future direction of professional golf. His engaging responses shed light on the inner workings of the Tour and its players, giving UKGF members meaningful context for their own operations.
The event also underscored a shared mission within the golf industry – to bring new players into the game and keep existing golfers engaged and inspired.
“The Q&A with Guy was brilliant,” said Doug Poole, CEO of the UK Golf Federation. “His insights into the game and the Tour will undoubtedly help our members as they continue to grow the sport at the grassroots and commercial levels. We’re all in the business of making people love golf – and the DP World Tour adds the glitter that makes it happen.”
The next members event will be GolfBIC 2, a collaborative event with Elite Events, partnering with the CMAE and Golf Business News, at the new Golf Business Expo Show, which will take place on October 8 at Whittlebury Park Golf Resort. The one-day B2B show promises to unite golf industry leaders and golf course operators for a day of exhibitions and keynote discussions.
