Al Zorah City, one of the premier golf and lifestyle destinations in the United Arab Emirates, has appointed Stephen Payne as its new golf operations manager at Al Zorah Golf Club.

Payne – who began his new role in September – brings a decade of experience in golf across the UAE having worked at a number of Troon-managed facilities and at some of the Middle East’s biggest and most thriving golf venues, such as Abu Dhabi Golf Club and Montgomerie Golf Club Dubai.

Working closely with General Manager Philip Henderson, Payne will play a crucial role in shaping the Troon Experience for members and guests at Al Zorah Golf Club. His duties extend beyond merely managing golf operations. He will be charged with fostering a setting that offers members a sense of home while extending a warm embrace to guests.

Furthermore, Payne will guide staff training with the aim of creating unparalleled customer service throughout the venue.

Speaking about his new role, Payne said: “I am thrilled to be present during such a transformative period for this swiftly advancing destination. The attraction of Al Zorah City and the prospect of working at a Troon-managed venue captivated me. I am looking forward to not only enhancing the experience for members and guests, but also spearheading the anticipated transition towards the completion of our new state-of-the-art clubhouse next year.”
