500 Up For Cloud-Based ClubV1 Admin System

11.58am 28th August 2014 - Management Topics

Club V1 versatilityIn a little more than 10 months of its launch, Club Systems International’s ClubV1 administration system has topped 500 clients.

Delivered on time, and at considerable investment, the eagerly awaited cloud-based application was launched to a hugely positive reception at Moor Park GC, in September 2013, and developer Club Systems International, the UK and Ireland’s leading producer of golf club IT systems, has been inundated with orders ever since.

More than 200 clubs are now using the system with another 300-plus waiting to convert from their existing model. And Cheshire-based Club Systems International has prepared a full autumn schedule to ensure the roll-out continues throughout the winter months.

Club Systems International’s sales manager, Hilary Clamp, said: “We have been receiving an average of just under 50 requests a month for Club V1 which is very encouraging. And, what we’ve discovered is, that like ‘open source’ software, users often point out areas which can be improved or tweaked and we are constantly looking to improve the software as a result of their feedback.

“With the Club V1 software, we can continue to make improvements and upgrades on an ongoing basis to enhance the customer experience. We will be in touch shortly with all customers who are converting to ClubV1 to ensure they are able to enjoy the myriad benefits of the system as soon as is conveniently possible.”

The key attributes of the application include the flexibility of use from any device and location, extensive drill-down capabilities on member and non-member golf and financial activity, radical improvement of competition and handicapping administration, and extensive improvements to member communication and marketing – all within a three-tier pricing structure, starting with an inexpensive entry-level product for clubs across UK and Ireland.

Sidcup Golf Club switched to ClubV1 in January, and the club’s secretary, Steve Armstrong, said: “The ClubV1 system is a very user-friendly piece of software that has enabled our club to link together all our previous databases and websites.”

Paul Coombes, men’s handicap secretary, at the Warren Golf & Country Club, in Essex, which converted to ClubV1 in March, echoed his sentiments, adding: “It’s a quality system with good support.”

And Stuart Clement, handicap secretary at Morlais Castle GC, added, succinctly: “It’s an excellent system!”

Club Systems International Ltd has been designing, building and supporting IT systems for golf clubs since 1982. Now, with more than 1,800 golf clubs in the UK and Ireland, along with customers as far afield as Dubai, Ghana and Sri Lanka, Club Systems International has grown to lead the UK & I golf club market.
