The software development company Platzdasch Netconsult Gmbh & Co KG and Zest.Golf are going to form a strategic partnership. For this purpose, Platzdasch Netconsult Gmbh & Co KG will provide development resources with immediate effect to help accelerate product development.
Zest.Golf has been busy during the pandemic building new relationships with golf facilities and channel partners across Europe and kickstarting plans for international expansion in the U.S marketplace.
Platzdasch Net Consult’s (PNC) commitment will help Zest.Golf increase technical resources, accelerate plans for technical development, improve platform functionality and support plans for significant commercial growth.
Oliver Dury, CEO Zest.Golf: said: “We are delighted to partner with PNC to develop our platform. They have 25 years’ experience providing software development resources and expertise to blue chip companies and golf organisations including the German Golf Association (DGV) and I am confident their Next Gen knowledge will add real value to our business and play a significant part in us achieving our goals in the future.”
Zest.Golf’s V1 of the platform is in the marketplace and more than 100 courses in the major tourism countries are available to book for the 30+ channels connected including one of Europe’s largest golf tour operators, Your Golf Travel, who recently signed up to directly access pooled inventory across multiple countries where they currently don’t have integrations with local tee time software providers.
Zest.Golf plan to launch V2 in September 2021 ready for when overseas golf bookings are expected to resume subject to reduced travel restrictions. V2 will include new and improved functionalities based on customer feedback received in the first 18 months of platform deployment.
For Lars Platzdasch, PNC CEO, the decision to partner with Zest was an easy one: “We manage the tech development for some golf platforms in Germany so our paths crossed and a conversation started. We recognised how the Zest solution mirrored technology advancements in the travel industry and instantly wanted to be part of their journey to revolutionise golf bookings from offline to online and meet the changing demands of the market, especially for the global golf tourism industry during this critical time. We are delighted to partner with the Zest team and look forward to combining our collective technology and golf industry expertise to develop the platform.”
Jo Maes, Zest Golf’s Commercial Manager, Europe adds: “Both the tech and sales developments are a great endorsement of our platform and our mission, to bring both the golf courses and the customers closer together. Lockdowns everywhere have been difficult for our industry, but we are now seeing some green shoots with countries opening up and the vaccine rollout accelerating. We are now ready for what many in the golf industry will experience as a ‘restart’.
Zest.Golf is a Business Partner of IAGTO who believe a frictionless tee time booking method for their members, both on the course as the channel side, will become invaluable for the golf travel industry to bounce back after the CV19 situation.
