Vietnam Golf Coast clubs are embracing the future with a wave of smart innovations designed to elevate the playing experience and redefine service standards.

Stretching between Hoi An and Hue, the Vietnam Golf Coast, which comprises top layouts Laguna Golf Lang Co, Ba Na Hills Golf Club and Montgomerie Links, is helping to shape Central Vietnam into one of Asia’s most complete and compelling golf destinations.

Together, the three clubs are enhancing the guest journey through advanced technology — from GPS-equipped carts and digital swing analysis tools to intuitive booking systems and digital caddy services.

At Laguna Golf Lang Co, a digital-first push is streamlining access for players from around the world. The club’s newly enhanced online platform now allows guests to book tee times and stay-and-play packages directly, quickly, and securely. A parallel B2B-focused extranet provides global travel agents with direct booking access, boosting Laguna’s presence on the worldwide OTA market.

Montgomerie Links has SmartScore in place and is expanding its range of digital services

“Our goal is to make every step of the guest journey as easy and efficient as possible—from the first click to the final putt,” says Stephen Banks, the club’s general manager. “These platforms are part of a broader commitment to innovation across the board. By investing in smart systems, we’re able to meet the expectations of modern travelers and golfers alike.”

That commitment also extends to improving golfers’ games, Wirth Laguna having invested in state-of-the-art swing analysis tools that deliver instant feedback, allowing players to identify strengths, address weaknesses, and receive personalised improvement plans.

Ba Na Hills Golf Club, meanwhile, is rolling out the next phase of its tech transformation this month. The club will officially introduce SmartScore, a digital scoring and management system, with installation and staff training scheduled for mid-June.

“We’re committed to delivering a world-class experience, and SmartScore is a key part of that evolution,” says general manager Simon Mees. “We’re confident it will enhance the way both our guests and staff interact with every round of golf.”

The club has also expanded its use of the Golf Caddie app, which enables guests to log their rounds, write reviews, and customise their playing experience. With over 13,200 guest reviews to date, the app has become an essential feedback tool and benchmark for digital engagement in Vietnamese golf.

At Montgomerie Links, tech integration is already well established. The club has been using SmartScore since 2022 and continues to build on its digital foundations with GPS-enabled golf carts and an expanding range of real-time services.

“Technology plays a vital role in shaping modern golf course management,” says club manager Le Vo Hoang Van. “It gives us the flexibility to personalise service and keep improving how we deliver quality on and off the course.”
