Last month saw the opening of a new driving range facility in Indonesia that features Inrange entertainment technology.

The Range, which was opened last week in downtown Jakarta, has been built by the Damai Indah group, and features three levels of hitting bays equipped with touchscreen devices, VIP areas and multiple food and beverage offerings, and is set to redefine the driving range experience in Indonesia.

The project marks a major step for both Damai Indah as well as for Inrange Golf, for which this is the company’s first installation in the region.

After visiting the venue in early September,, Inrange co-founder Nick Longley said. “Introducing Inrange to Indonesia marks the next step in launching our ‘Experience Range’ concept around the world. We all know that the range is about so much more than just a ‘bucket of balls’ nowadays, and Damai Indah are making golf a game for everyone – which aligns brilliantly with our own mission statement.

“Southeast Asia is incredibly keen on golf, with a lot of active players, and the ability to offer something for both the practice and social player, is going to be key to business success for ranges in the region, something we are incredibly excited to be a part of.”

The Damai Indah site design and build was overseen by Damai Indah Group Director Sian Christine Wiradinata, who is equally excited to finally have the venue open for business.

She said: “We know that for what we want to offer our visitors, both a great golf practice as well as a golf entertainment experience. So Inrange was the perfect partner for us. Seeing visitors on the range experience exactly what we had envisioned, is very rewarding.”

Inrange Golf’s software brings people together to play against one another in a friendly but competitive, technology-driven social golf experience. Their partner ranges in the USA, UK, UAE and South Africa are already noticing the difference in their bottom line, with sites seeing a doubling or more revenue increase when adopting their experience range business model.

Further Inrange installations are planned in Australia, the Netherlands, Mexico, Vietnam and further expansion in the USA before the end of 2022.
