Tom Burnett has officially opened his first Central European junior golf academy at the Pannonia Golf & Country Club, Hungary.
In 1998 Tom, the President of the World Junior Golf Association, founded the Tom Burnett Golf Academy in Florida. Currently he is coaching numerous international expeditious professional and amateur golfers. Now he has brought his program to Hungary to help talented European juniors to achieve a career in professional golf.
The opening of the Academy also brings some infrastructure improvements to the course: two new training greens, and three covered driving range bays, equipped with the most modern golf technology. Gergo Böndicz will be the Director of the new TBGA Academy, Central Europe
The most well-known PGA players with whom he worked, and is still working with, include: Matt Kuchar, Birdie Kim and last, but not least, Csilla Rózsa (the Hungarian professional talent). Apart from the professional training, the Academy offers for the U21 junior members a hi-tech infrastructure (Trackman, Sam Puttlab, V1 system), training aids, hitting bay, separate putting and pitching green and indoor Academy building.
In order to help the development of the young golf players, Tom founded the World Junior Golf Series, which continues to grow and expand and has reached over 2000 golfers, from over 35 different countries.
This year in August one stage of the series will be the Hungarian Crown Junior, to which the organizers expect participants from Europe and other continents.
Overall, Tom has helped junior golfers to receive scholarships to several American universities (for example, Columbia University). Currently he is collaborating together with 21 American University golf programs.
The Tom Burnett Golf Academy Central Europe welcomes everyone who wishes to achieve a professional golf career or an American scholarship.
