Woodhall Spa commissions Turfgrass to enhance course excellence and sustainability

In an exciting development for one of the UK’s most iconic golf clubs, Woodhall Spa Golf Club, Lincolnshire, UK, has announced a multi-year partnership with Turfgrass, world leading golf course consultants, beginning this Spring.

This collaboration will focus on delivering a comprehensive agronomy programme to further enhance the globally celebrated Hotchkin and Bracken Courses. With a shared commitment to excellence and sustainability, the partnership aims to ensure that Woodhall Spa remains a benchmark for world-class golf.

Woodhall Spa Golf Club, home to The National Golf Centre and headquarters of England Golf, is steeped in history. Established in 1891, its Hotchkin Course, ranked 58th globally by Golf.com, is renowned for its dramatic bunkering and heathland charm, while the Bracken Course, designed by Donald Steel, offers an equally distinguished yet contrasting experience. Together, they represent the pinnacle of British golf heritage and innovation.

Turfgrass will implement a comprehensive agronomy programme tailored to the specific needs of the Hotchkin and Bracken Courses. The agronomic scope of works includes integrated pest management strategies, irrigation optimisation, soil testing and tailored nutrient programmes. With a focus on sustainability and innovation, this collaboration aims to refine course presentation, enhance playability and support long-term environmental stewardship.
