Wentworth Club in Surrey has integrated 16 Kress Commercial RTKn autonomous mowers across its famous West Course, as well its driving range and golf academy.
The Kress team, alongside Hampshire-based Winchester Garden Machinery, have provided comprehensive on-site training, joint performance evaluation, and close technical collaboration with Wentworth’s greenkeeping team to ensure optimal results.
The implementation of Kress autonomous mowing technology delivers significant operational and environmental benefits, including zero on-site emissions, lower CO₂ output, reduced fuel use and quieter operation that minimises disruption while protecting wildlife. Precision cutting and continuous micro-mulching improve turf quality return nutrients to the soil and reduce fertiliser requirements, while lightweight electric mowers lessen ground compaction.
The technology also creates safer working conditions by eliminating fuel handling and fumes, lowers operating costs, optimises energy use through intelligent battery charging, and frees greenkeeping staff to focus on more skilled tasks.
