Jason Straka, the President of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, will be one of the keynote speakers at the 2022 Asia Pacific Golf Summit, which is taking place at Hoiana Integrated Resort in Vietnam in November.
APGS 2022 will be staged on at the multi-billion dollar Hoiana Integrated Resort in the UN Heritage city of Hoi An from November 1-3.
Straka is an industry leader in environmental golf course design and was one of the youngest members ever elected to the ASGCA Board of Governors.
He is renowned as a professional who has skilfully merged his professional training in the many facets of golf course design with his extensive hands-on design experience to shape his specialty – integrating a golf course both functionally and aesthetically into its surrounding environment.
In 2010, Straka was rated by Golf Magazine as one of the most influential people in golf under 40, and three Straka-designed golf courses won awards in Golf Inc.’s Renovation of the Year Competition 2014-2016, a contest which annually seeks to recognise the best renovation projects of the past year from around the world.
Straka was honoured with a Presidential Citation in 2016 for his work in the development of meaningful professional education programmes. He has served as an instructor at a variety of professional seminars around the world and has also led educational courses many of America’s leading universities.
