Retail giant returns to the Scottish Golf Show

12.06am 26th November 2008 - Exhibitions & Conferences

The organisers of the 2009 Scottish Golf Show have confirmed american golf as the event’s preferred retailer for the third year running.

The announcement, which follows the news that the show is to relocate to the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Cente in Glasgow from its previous home at the Royal Highland Centre near Edinburgh, will see american golf operate the massive golf shop during the three-day event, which takes place from 20-22 March next year

As the largest specialist golf retailer in the country, with 70 stores across the UK and Ireland, american golf has a proven and distinguished track record. Its retail director, Stuart Livingstone, is confident that his staff will rise to the challenge of catering for the 20,000-plus visitors that are expected to attend the show at its new Glasgow home next year.

“We are delighted to be returning as preferred retailer to the Scottish Golf Show in 2009,” said Livingstone. “The previous two stagings have been very successful for us and we are looking forward to reacquainting ourselves with the exceptionally knowledgeable Scottish golfing public in time for the next season getting underway.

“The decision to relocate the event to the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre is a very positive move by the organisers and we are looking forward to a building on the success of the previous two years during the three days of the show at the end of March.”

Scottish Golf Show event director Tom Lovering added, “I am thrilled to welcome american golf, Europe’s No.1 golf retailer, to the Scottish Golf Show for a third successive year. The backing of such a well-established and respected brand is a major fillip for the event, and I am delighted that they share our excitement and vision for relocating to the SECC in Glasgow. If previous years are anything to go by, show customers can look forward to american golf delivering the greatest choice of products and unbeatable bargains on each of the three days next year.”
