The Golf Show –Europe’s leading golf trade show and education event – has announced award-winning motivational speaker Philip Hesketh as the headline presenter at the Harrogate International Centre, from October 25-27.
Having turned to professional speaking eight years ago after building a multi-million pound business, Hesketh has become an established motivational speaker across a wide spectrum of businesses and industries around the world.
At The Golf Show, he promises that those PGA Professionals attending his seminar will learn the secrets of how to improve their relationships with customers, members and colleagues.
“I will share with delegates three ‘killer’ questions that guarantee to help them sell more, have more people wanting lessons and enhance their reputation around the golf club,” said Hesketh. “They will leave the auditorium with a number of easy ‘can do tomorrow’ tips and techniques that will help them to be more persuasive and influential – I want each and every delegate to walk out thinking ‘I’ll try that tomorrow’.”
Hesketh is a psychology graduate from Newcastle University, a sales graduate from consumer product giants Procter & Gamble and part of the Harvard Alumni.
In 1986 he created and served as new business director and managing partner of the advertising agency, Advertising Principles. Having overseen 16 consecutive years of growth and with annual billings of £48million, Hesketh left the business – which employed 143 people and boasted a client list that included HSBC, Nestle, BBC and Disney – to pursue his love of motivational speaking.
His seminars have been described as ‘inspirational, insightful, motivational and thought provoking,’ and his presentation – on Tuesday, October 25 – promises to be something memorable for delegates at The Golf Show.
Having spent his entire working life studying and practicing influence and persuasion, he now speaks on ‘The Psychology of Persuasion’ in a style that has been described as both ‘enlightening and entertaining.’
John Davis, The Golf Show Coordinator, said: “We are extremely excited to have Philip Hesketh confirmed as our first keynote speaker. His presentations have received great reviews from all over the world and we are looking forward to listening to him.”
Hesketh added: “I don’t talk about golf in my seminar – I play golf and I love golf, but golf is God’s way of making me humble. While I won’t be talking about golf I will be talking about the running of the Pro Shop, the selling of golf lessons and the relationships the Pros have – that is where I will help.
“Every member of the audience will walk away from my seminar with a credit card-sized handout which will reiterate what I have said, so they will be able to review it – and I guarantee if they try my tips they will improve their relationships with everyone.”
Hesketh joins a stellar cast of speakers taking part in The Golf Show, including Mike Hebron, Dr Paul Hurrion, Jamie Edwards, Scott Cranfield and Gary Smith.
Delegates can now register for the show via the official website – www.golftradeshow.co.uk.
