Joe Austen is honouring golf’s greatest champions with an exhibition of new paintings which will be shown .in Macdonald Rusacks Hotel during the 2010 Open Championship in St Andrews.

The Champions Collection has been created by Joe Austen to honour golf’s greatest champions with an exhibition of new paintings which will be shown for the first time in Macdonald Rusacks Hotel during the 2010 Open Championship in St Andrews.

The VIP Reception will take place at 5-7pm on Tuesday 13th July 2010 in Macdonald Rusacks Hotel, overlooking The Old Course in St Andrews.

Following the opening, a further series of new paintings will be created by Joe Austen and added to the Collection on an ongoing basis as a tribute to golf’s greatest champions, in the Home of Golf.

The Austen Gallery is also home to: The Macdonald Collection, the Historical Collection, Portraits of Royal Captains of the R & A and The Champions Collection.

Tony Jacklin, Roberto De Vicenzo and Sandy Lyle will be Guests of Honour at the VIP Reception on Tuesday 13th July, which will also be attended by a wide range of guests from the worlds of golf, business and the media.

The Champions Collection of paintings will be on general sale from the Opening on 13th July, along with several other unique, original oil paintings by Joe Austen. Also released is a limited edition bronze sculpture of the Open Championship Trophy (The Claret Jug) with the hands of Roberto De Vicenzo – Open Champion in 1967.
