The London Golf Show is looking to promote golf participation beyond those already converted to the sport and this year the organisers have introduced a Women’s Zone to the show.

As part of the new initiative, the new ‘Zone’ will be managed and coordinated by Felicity Dunderdale of FORE! Women In addition, to celebrate this partnership, the show organiser will be giving ALL women registering on the website before 31st October will gain entry to the show for free! Yes, FREE!

FORE! Women is an online women’s guide to golf, with the focus on building a female community UK-wide. In the UK 63% of women do not feel confident enough to approach sports clubs and, more specifically, 50% of women do not feel comfortable at a golf club.

This poses as a great threat to the participation levels within women’s golf and is something that shouldn’t be ignored. The new area of the show will be designed to encourage women to take part in an activity which offers you fun, fitness and improvement. As well as helping golf clubs build, develop and nurture relationships with the female community.

Commenting o the partnership, Dunderdale said, “I’m thrilled that FORE! Women have been asked to take part in this year’s London Golf Show at Bluewater. It opens up a fantastic opportunity for women of any level of ability to come and see what golf has to offer. Being a part of the show and hosting a dedicated Women’s Zone means that we can welcome and guide those too who are interested in taking their first steps. We are planning Q&A sessions where ‘no question is a silly question’. And best of all women can currently get their tickets for free.”

New owner and CEO of the Show, David Patel, said: “We are really excited to be working with FORE! Women. We have been keen to create this dedicated women’s zone for a while. It has always been one of our companies’ objectives to increase women’s awareness and participation within golf and feel this is a great step in the right direction in achieving this goal. Many brands are encouraging women to the game of golf and we hope the ‘Women go free’ offer, alongside the women’s dedicated zone will support to growth within the ladies side of the game”.

The London Golf Show will be held from 13-15 November returning to Glow, Bluewater – www.londongolfshow.com
