A conference with a difference will take place in St Andrews commencing on Monday 24th October 2011 and will last three days.
Presenters will be world leaders in aspects of golf such as its art, literature, photography, the spirit of the game, its traditions, the enduring message of Bobby Jones, the marketing of golf destinations, the skill of course rating, the global industry and how future generations can be attracted onto the fairways. A detailed list of presenters and a dedicated website will be available in March 2011.
The programme will include walking tours of nearby courses with their architects who will describe the strategy built into the design. This will be a golf connoisseur’s “must”.
The inaugural event which will become an annual festival attracting business to the Home of Golf will be centralised in the Austen Gallery of the Rusacks Hotel where there will be space for just 100 delegates. Both Rusacks and The Scores will be the host hotels.
