“You’ve heard of him. You’ve read about him. You have seen him on television. Now, you can see him in person! The man is the legend himself – David Leadbetter, one of the greatest golf coaches of all time.

“We are delighted to announce that David Leadbetter will be one of our special VIP guests and speakers at the 2016 Asia Pacific Golf Summit,” declared Mike Sebastian, chief executive officer of the Asia Pacific Golf Group, the owner and producer of the Summit.

Leadbetter will deliver a special keynote address during the Welcome Reception on October 29 which will be held at the multi-award winning Black Mountain Golf Club. He will also stage a special golf clinic for junior golfers at Banyan Golf Club.

Watch David demonstrate his “hat challenge”

Leadbetter is globally renowned for his coaching techniques as it relates to the golf swing. Among some of the great champions that he has mentored are six-time Major winner Sir Nick Faldo, Greg Norman, Ernie Els, Nick Price and Charles Howell III. Of late he has coached Hawaiian super-star Michelle Wie and the current LPGA world number one, Lydia Ko.

Leadbetter runs an international chain of golf academies headquartered at the ChampionsGate Golf Club in Florida. He also has branches elsewhere in North America, Europe and Asia. Leadbetter himself concentrates on teaching tour professionals and on instructing other coaches in his methods, who then teach his ideas at his academies.

Leadbetter has published several books and produced numerous instructional videos and DVDs. His latest book is “The A Swing”, The Alternative Approach to Great Golf.

The 2016 Asia Pacific Golf Summit takes place at the five-star Hyatt Regency Resort in Hua Hin on 29 and 30 October
