Great news from the UK Golf Federation who confirm that all 18 visionary industry speakers have been booked for their GolfBIC online Conference and Show 2/3/4 March 2021 and delegate booking are already flowing in! Its focus is “searching for golf’s new normal” with Covid-19 still a relevant factor to all our businesses as we approach 2021 – GolfBIC’s three important initiatives – Business Support – Products and Services – Industry Vision – will help to ensure value and insight into maximising all our businesses for 2021. See Bio’s on two of the key speakers below!

Richard Haygarth – Chairman of the UK Golf Federation and multi-site operator comments: “At a time when the new normal seems to change on a weekly basis and Zoom meetings have become the bread & butter of the business community, I am really excited to announce GolfBIC 2021. It seems a long time ago that we were agonising over cancelling last year’s event as Covid overtook the country, but now we have a Covid-proof event that will enable our 1,000+ members to come together in a virtual GolfBIC. Please join us online to listen to our top-notch speakers and see the latest industry developments from our exhibitors.”

David Glenwright, Head of Training JC Social Media Limited

David Glenwright – Head of Training – JC Social Media Limited – David is a social media trainer and strategist with over 8 years  experience in working with brands of all shapes and sizes to help them develop their digital marketing skills and implement campaigns that deliver meaningful results. Based in the West Midlands, he was one of the first 8 trainers in the UK to be accredited directly by Facebook under their ‘She Means Business’ programme to support entrepreneurs.

Robert Maxfield, Chief Executive of The PGA

Rob Maxfield – Chief Executive of The PGA – Golf has been a constant in Robert Maxfield’s life since he first swung a club as a two-year-old. Rob has played off a plus handicap for more than 30 years and is currently plus 4. He represented England as a schoolboy and this year played in the Seniors British Open having won qualifying.

These on-course talents coupled with his academic prowess earned him a golf scholarship at Florida State University. Rob’s initial intention was to turn professional, but it was while studying there he decided to concentrate on the business and leisure aspects of the game.

Consequently, joining the De Vere Group on his return to the UK was a natural progression: the company owned an impressive portfolio of golf resorts, including the famous Ryder Cup venue, The Belfry.

A rapid rise saw him promoted to director of golf at The Belfry where he worked at three Ryder Cups and numerous European Tour events. In 2004 he was appointed Golf Director of the De Vere Group. Rob joined the PGA staff in 2006 as Executive Commercial Director, then Deputy Chief Executive in December 2015. He became Chief Executive in April 2017.

So, there are exciting times to come in 2021 for GolfBIC. Over the build up in the coming months full details on speakers, show exhibitors and networking arrangments will be released as GolfBIC gets ready to welcome the commercial golf industry to the event not to miss in 2021.
