GolfBIC 2022 Offers Face To Face Networking for Golf Industry Professionals

2.53pm 2nd February 2022 - Exhibitions & Conferences

Over the last 20 months, COVID has taken away so many face-to-face opportunities to network with other industry professionals. GolfBIC 2022 is the perfect chance to engage with over 100 golf facility owners and discuss business as the 2022 season begins, rounded off with a networking Gala Dinner for all attendees.

Limited tickets remain to GolfBIC 2022 – an action packed ‘in-person’ event open for members and non-members of the UK Golf Federation, that will investigate the challenges other sporting sectors face and where golf sits amongst these sports.

When: 21st March 2022

Where: The Belfry Hotel & Resort

Purchase tickets: https://www.ukgolffederation.com/golfbic

Historically, the golf industry has rarely compared itself with other sports and has been behind in managing pathways into the game, inclusivity, and how golf performs alongside other games open to the community. As COVID has affected each and every sport in many different ways, GolfBIC will provide the perfect opportunity to highlight these challenges along with their solutions so that we are well prepared for similar situations in the future.

More specifically, GolfBIC will identify how the golf industry can create a competitive socialising environment that can support improved sustainability for the new players that have joined golf since COVID-19 came into our lives.

Kate Miller from the England and Wales Cricket Board

The latest keynote speaker to join GolfBIC22 is Kate Miller, who is the principal architect of the England and Wales Cricket Board’s diversity, equity and inclusion programs. Kate will present her unique strategies for ensuring diverse hiring and promotion at the ECB, along with the main hurdles cricket faces when creating a diverse and sustainable pathway into the sport for beginners. Cricket has been revolutionised in recent years with new formats that have put it on the map as one of the most popular sports in the world. With golf’s recent boom, Kate’s insights into how this has changed the culture of cricket will be invaluable for golf operators that are looking to retain participation at their venues.

Speaking alongside Kate is a star studded line-up, including:

• Barry Hearn OBE – Snooker, Darts & Golf

• Tony Hansen – Sports Water Sustainability

• Yvonne Brooke – Founder of the Ladies Golf Lounge

• Mark England – Chef de Mission Team GB Olympics

GolfBIC is open to all proprietary golf facility owners, golf industry service suppliers and golf brands.
