England Golf will bring together golf clubs, industry leaders, volunteers and voices from across sport for its Women & Girls Summit, ‘Building a Game for Her’, on Friday, 9 October at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham.
Olympic gold medallist, broadcaster and England Golf Game Changer Ambassador Dame Denise Lewis has been announced as a keynote speaker. Television presenter and journalist Sarah Stirk will host the day, which runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm, with networking drinks afterwards.
The programme will examine how golf can attract more women and girls, make them feel welcome and give them reasons to stay in the game. Discussions will draw on experience from golf and other sports, with a focus on representation, health and wellbeing, community and the practical changes clubs can make. England Golf has also announced panels exploring women’s health, the commercial opportunity in investing in women and girls, and the role of community in creating a sense of belonging.
The summit is aimed at club managers, committee members, coaches, volunteers, county representatives, industry professionals and women’s golf groups, as well as anyone working to create more opportunities for female golfers. Delegates will be encouraged to share successful approaches and take ideas back to their clubs and organisations.

The conference takes place at the East Midlands Conference Centre on the University of Nottingham’s University Park campus. Tickets to attend cost £70 and include conference access, lunch and refreshments.
