John Coleman, MD of Advanced Turf Technology and inventor of the TMSystem™ will be presenting a seminar on Tuesday 20th January during the Continue to Learn Education Programme at BTME 2015. The 30 minute session entitled ‘Design and Manufacture of Turf Maintenance Equipment for the Golf Industry’ will take place at 10:15am.

This seminar will address the areas involved in the design and production of turf maintenance equipment for golf. John will discuss the process involved with taking a new machine from the initial concept through to testing, prototypes and full manufacturing whilst explaining the important role that the greenkeeper plays in every step of the process. It will also look at new upcoming developments in the industry and what the future could hold within the world of golf turf maintenance equipment.

John’s background is firmly in greenkeeping from being an award winning Greenkeeper to consulting on courses. All of his ‘ATT ideas’ have come from this experience. He has been influenced a lot by working with, and talking to, various Head Greenkeepers. For example, he found that every course he worked on used different equipment and he thought it would be much easier to have one piece of equipment that would suit the needs of every course – hence the birth of the TMSystem™ for triplex greens mowers. From that it was a sensible step to develop it into a pedestrian unit, the INFiNiSystem™.

Places for John Coleman’s seminar are still available so pre-book now to ensure your space.
