Dual Solheim Cup winning captain Catriona Matthew will tee off proceedings at the GCMA 2021 Conference after being unveiled as a VIP speaker for the three-day event being held at Wyboston Lakes Resort in Bedfordshire from November 21-23.

Fresh off a stunning 15-13 victory in the matches held in the US in September, Matthew will regale delegates with tales of her success on the opening night of the three-day event. She’ll be giving an insight to delegates into managing winning teams and will join former European Tour chief referee John Paramor in addressing what’s sure to be a packed Sunday audience.

They join a host of impressive keynote conference speakers, including elite athletes Chris Cook and Danielle Brown, while the likes of industry experts Kevin Fish, Peter Kirk and Scott Seaborn will also be among those delivering valuable education and networking presentations.

Breakout sessions will give attendees the tools to develop in their roles as golf club managers and a gala dinner on Monday night will showcase the best in the industry with the GCMA Manager of the Year Awards.

Tom Brooke, GCMA chief executive, said: “We’re proud to welcome Catriona to GCMA 2021 Conference. Watching her team retain the Solheim Cup was a true highlight of the sporting year and I can’t think of a more inspiring leader to address our conference.”

Gavin Robinson, GCMA professional development manager, added: “We’re absolutely thrilled Catriona will be addressing the opening night of GCMA 2021 Conference. Her leadership of the European Solheim Cup winning team in the USA last month was inspirational and we can’t wait to hear the stories from that success and from her incredible career.

“Alongside industry-leading learning, personal, and professional development opportunities under our event themes of Leadership and Wellbeing, Sustainability and Technology, this is just another reason why booking for GCMA 2021 Conference is a must for anyone in the golf industry.”
