A new piece of software that is designed to add some serious fun to the driving range experience is to make it debut next week’s GolfBic show at the Forest of Arden.

The brainchild of British software designer Gavin Hamer, Awesome Golf is a comprehensive suite of FlightScope-compatible golf games designed for all ages and skill levels, which aims to turn practice into play.

At GolfBIC, visitors will be able to buy the software for use on any current FlightScope products, in a bundle with the brand new FlightScope Mevo+ or as lease-to-own Driving Range solution complete with state-of-the-art touchscreen computers.

The system can be purchased in any number, so whether you install on one bay or 70 you’ll be getting a versatile, comprehensive, fun, golf experience that caters for data-hungry serious golfers alongside those who just want to hit balls and play games.

Whether practicing shot shaping, with unbeatable ball and club data, playing one of the videogame-style virtual golf courses with friends or going head to head blowing up boats, Awesome Golf promises to transform the range experience for every type of golfer and golf facility.

Hamer explains: “We were determined to make a golf game that could be enjoyed by everyone. After looking at the market, it was clear that FlightScope’s technology was the best fit for us as it offers unbeatable accuracy for all kinds of shots. This means we can offer comprehensive data for serious golfers, competitive challenges and of course short shot skills games that kids, and beginners can play making it ideal for coaching and for facility owners looking for a complete range solution.”

The first Awesome Golf/FlightScope Range solution has already been installed at Horsham Golf in West Sussex and is revolutionising the driving range business with a marked increase in footfall, ball purchases and bay usage happening in a matter of weeks.
