Commenting on the global golf exposition, Tenniel Chu, group vice-chairman of the Mission Hills Group, China and chairman of the WGE 2020 organising committee said, “This is a truly historic event for the Asia Pacific region and we are going to organise it as one of the world’s best events.” He went on to add, “WGE 2020 will be home-based in Haikou making the capital city of Hainan the hub of the golf business world in the Asia Pacific.”

It will be an event that will serve as golf’s showcase to the Asia Pacific region. “WGE 2020 will be a multi-faceted event in that it will be both trade and consumer focused with shows running concurrently that will focus on the industry’s latest technologies, new equipment both for the trade and consumers and it will be the best platform for the sharing of knowledge as it relates to the golf business,” said Mike Sebastian, CEO of the Asia Pacific Golf Group and vice chairman of the WGE organising committee. “The aim is to start big and grow the event into the biggest one of its kind in the world,” Sebastian declared.
