Andrew Wood, founder of Legendary Marketing, to speak at Asia Summit

12.42pm 12th October 2018 - Exhibitions & Conferences

This is going to stagger you, writes Mike Sebastian. According to the World Tourism Organisation, world tourism in 2017 generated US$1.6 trillion in business or US$4 billion a day, which corresponds to 7% of the world’s exports! Of this, it is believed that golf tourism is worth US$250 billion dollars. That’s a huge sum and in many instances, its greater than the GDP of many nations! Asia has a share in this huge pie but the exact break-out is not known. Regardless, this market sector is very important to the golf club industry in Asia.

So important that we felt we needed a top guru to come and put everything into perspective. That guru is Andrew Wood, the visionary and charismatic founder of Legendary Marketing who for twenty years has enjoyed the status as a world leader in golf marketing – http://legendarymarketing.com/

Wood, an internationally respected author of multiple best-selling books on sales, marketing, golf marketing and entrepreneurship and a speaker worldwide on many business growth topics will be back to Asia to help set the tone for the Inaugural Southeast Asian Golf Tourism Symposium (Bangkok – November 1 – 3)

Given the strategic importance of golf tourism to the region, Wood has developed a special package called the “WOW FACTOR”. In this customised address, Wood draws on his extensive global experience on golf marketing to create a pathway to show golf course owners and operators how they can put a lasting polish and shine to their products to become world beaters in golf tourism.

What is special about Wood is that he is a hands-on expert and he is all about sharing ingenuous ideas on growing a business. This is precisely what the guru will be up to in Bangkok on November 3 when he reveals the “Wow Factor”.

“All serious golf course owners and operators and national tourism organisations will be given a first-hand insight on how to tap into this burgeoning market and to get a piece of the pie,” said Wood.

Come and attend APGS 2018 and let Wood infuse you with a new sense of energy drive and enthusiasm to be an active part of the dynamic golf tourism marketplace.
