AGIF Conference Focus on ‘Future Proofing Your Club’

Asian Club Managers Conference banner‘Future Proofing Your Club’ will be the theme at the 11th Asian Club Managers Conference to be held at Singapore’s Orchid Country Club from 10 – 12 April the event will ‘explore challenges and innovative solutions’.

Expected to attract more than 200 general managers from around the region, the Conference is being organised by the Singapore Club Managers’ Association in collaboration with the Asian Golf Industry Federation and the China Chapter of the Club Managers Association of America.

The conference will follow on from the first edition of the AGIF-organised Business Management Institute [BMI] course.

Among the keynote speakers at the Asian Club Managers Conference will be Andy Johnston, General Manager at the award-winning Sentosa Golf Club, a Golf Facility Member of the AGIF.

Other high-profile confirmed speakers are Oon Jin Teik, the Singapore Sport Hub’s Chief Operating Officer, Jeffrey Kreafle, General Manager at Congressional Country Club, and James Quilley, President of Emerald Golf.

Organisers said the aim of the gathering is ‘to find cost effective solutions and innovative ideas in a programme that combines strategic and operational concerns’.

Peter Goh, General Manager at OCC and President, Club Managers’ Association (Singapore), said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with the Asian Golf Industry Federation on this conference. There is nothing more powerful than when club professionals come together to share ideas, learn from each other and also have the opportunity to connect with so many fellow club professionals from around the world.”
