Trump in Scotland – decision soon

8.51am 17th October 2008 - Course Development

Earlier this week John Swinney, the Scottish secretary for finance and sustainable growth, received the written report which followed a four week planning enquiry. He has promised to make a decision within 28 days.

Donald Trump is seeking approval to develop a £1 billion golf resort at the Menie Estate in Aberdeenshire. The plan comprises two championship golf courses, a 450-room hotel, 1,000 timeshare apartments, 36 golf villas and 500 homes.

Mr Swinney will have the final say.
