As part of the Club’s plans to develop and further improve its impressive moorland links course, Teignmouth has appointed Golf Course Development Ltd to provide a range of golf course consultancy advice. Murray Long is the top man behind Golf Course Development and has an impressive track record of achievement at other top-quality courses such as Sunningdale, Ferndown and Stoneham.

Mark Haskell, Teignmouth’s General Manager, said, “We’re delighted to be working with Murray, whose experience from working with some of the country’s finest heathland courses will be invaluable.”

Murray Long added, “Teignmouth is very fortunate to have a course which occupies a great site and has an enviable design heritage.  I’m really looking forward to helping the Club reach its full potential and to cement its position as one of the best in the South West.”

Thanks to the hard work of the whole greens staff led by Head Greenkeeper, Justin Manester, Teignmouth’s course condition has improved significantly over the last 5 years but Justin shares the Club’s ambition for the future saying, “We’ve already adjusted our maintenance plans for the year and we’re confident that positive results will delivered for all our members and visitors.”
