Sharjah Golf Club – Harradine’s latest

7.31am 3rd February 2009 - Course Development

Sharjah Golf Club is an 18 hole golf course, designed by Harradine Golf, with an enormous down hill driving range and a 9 hole pitch and putt. The fantastic dunes have provided a great layout which meanders in and along the spectacular landscape.

The club house is perched at the highest point of the site and provides spectacular views of the driving range and half the course.

The par 72 course, totals 7203 yards from the back tees and offers dramatic contouring, strategic hazards, seven big lakes and many natural rough areas. The player will experience dynamic visual changes of landscape throughout the course which should enhance his overall golfing experience.

The contractor, Al Ula Int’l Eng and Cont.Co. LLC, has been given 200 days to complete phase 1 which consists in staking the complete site, bulk earthworks, construction of gravel service road and boundary fence.

Documents for phase 2, which includes the complete construction of lakes, golf course, irrigation and lighting, are being prepared with a view to go to tender by mid April.
